A new drier must be purchased with this BMW AC compressor. If the reciever drier is not replaced at the same time the compressor is installed the warranty will no longer be valid.
Chassis # or VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), Engine # & Production Date.
Occasionally a part will require a VIN, engine number or production date. A chassis number or a VIN are the same thing, and are usually found on a sticker/decal on the left/drivers door post - Usually the last six or seven digits are required (A672152) and the item will either fit to or from that number. The engine number is usually stamped onto the engine block, always in a different spot. Having trouble finding your (Mercedes) engine number, please email us or call us with your VIN and we will be happy to look it up. The production date of a vehicle is also found on the drivers door post - some parts fit up to a month/year (-06/1996) and others, from a month and year (07/1996-).
The ac compressors advertised on this sale is warranteed to be sold free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of 12 months. Our warranty does not cover any labor costs on or for removal, installation, any other associated parts and materials or damage resulting from delay or loss of use in service or repair or for incidental or consequential damages. Electrical and Electronic components such as air mass meters/sensors, climate control units, ignition modules, ignition amplifiers, throttle housings are not returnable, unless for authorized warranty replacement. The original purchaser must submit all warranty claims with valid proof of purchase, as well as a repair order stating the defective part was found to be defective by a certified technician. A copy of the parts supplier invoice for the receiver drier, expansion valve, orifice components replaced when the compressor was installed. The product will be sent to Importec freight prepaid by the customer for inspection. If it is determined the product is defective,the purchaser's recourse is limited to replacement of the product by Importec, or credit issued to the customer's credit card account if the product is no longer available. The policy for Importec does not provide for any labor, material, and/or shipping charges for the replacement of the product or the replacement performed. |
