Brand New Power Steering Pump for Mercedes-Benz ML Series models as listed below - (with 130mm diameter pulley)

Replaces Mercedes Part: 002 466 81 01
 
 
Recommendation: It is recommended that the reservoir is replaced at the same time as the steering pump is replaced, as the reservoir has an internal filter which may have contamination from the previous defective pump. Click here for: steering reservoir and seal. It is also recommended that you replace your steering hose clamps (supplied by Mercedes Benz) to the new style hose clamps, as (see below), the old style clamps may result in loss of steering fluid, which could result in damage to your new steering pump.
 
Symptoms: A common reason for the Mercedes Benz ML series power steering pump malfunctioning is because the steering return hose clamps at the radiator cooler fitting did not seal the steering pump hose sufficiently - this could result in loss of fluid, which would cause the pump to malfunction and make a noise. If the clamps are not replaced or tightened sufficiently the steering hose can blow off and cause a mess under the hood. Mercedes Benz are aware of this issue and did issue an recall on replacing the steering pump hose clamps. Please make sure you replace the hose clamp with the new updated version steering pump hose clamps to insure the loss of fluid does not re-occur, and result in damaging the replacement steering pump.
